Ivankovo farm

Ivankovo farm was purchased in 2003, extends to 19 ha and employs 105 employees, of which 7 have a university degree. Immediately after the purchase of Ivankovo farm, large investments were made in barns and milking facilities, a new modern rotolactator was built with 36 milking units and a capacity of 220 cows per hour, a fertilization system in all stables, liege-boxes, ventilation system. A new herd of high-dairy cows, of high genetic value was acquired from Netherlands.

Over the years, it has been constantly invested in herds and facilities. In 2013 a larger expansion begins with the accession to the European Union, when with the construction of new stables, rotolactators with 40 dairy places and capacity of 250 cows per hour, calves’ pens, haylofts, food storage silos, the capacity of the farm is doubled, so the Ivankovo farm has 16 production stables with a capacity of 3,700 cows, two calf pens with a capacity of 2,400 calves. There are currently 2,900 cows and 900 calves on the Ivankovo farm with a plan to reach full capacity by the end of 2018.

Voluminous part of the feed is stored in silo traps with a capacity of 41,000 tons, haylofts with a capacity of 7,350 tons, bagging silage with a capacity of 4,800 tons. The current production of 9700 l/year in 305 days per cow, which is one of the best in Croatia according to the register of the Croatian Agricultural Agency, with the goal for the future 11,000 litres per cow. 24,000,000 litres of milk are produced annually with 3.8% milk fat and 3.2% protein. 65,500 liters of milk are transported to the Varaždin Vindija plants every day.
