In more than 25 years, we have achieved a perfectly rounded production concept guided by knowledge and competence, modern technology, quality and sustainable development.

We are pleased to say that we are the only ones in Europe who apply our own concept of circling and reusing energy among different productions.

Through such a circulation of energy withing the system that brings multiple synergistic effects, cost benefits are achieved.

With the construction of the first biogas plant in Croatia right next to the farm in Ivankovo, we started sustainable waste management. In the realization of capital projects of this type for our own and our partners needs we have used our own know-how, taught by the experiences of western European countries, using state-of-the-art technological processes, along with natural and environmentally friendly raw materials. After realizing that the electricity production from biomass is the most environmentally friendly solution for the disposal of surplus manure, we have built biogas plants on other cattle and pig farms. All produced electricity is distributed to HEP.

Organic mass that is generated as a by-product in several of our productions – solid separate from biogas plants, green mass from greenhouses, cover from mushroom grow chambers and other organic waste – we process into humus, the basic raw material for the production of high-value organic-mineral substrates and soil improvers. We have been present on the market for seven years with substrates for flowers and garden under the Florasan brand.

At each location, with biogas plants we build greenhouses and mushroom grow chambers with the aim of maximizing energy efficiency. In winter the excess heat energy from biogas plants is used to heat greenhouses, and in the summer the excess heat energy is converted by chillers into cooling energy to lower the temperature for the mushroom to grow. In addition to cooling mushroom grow chambers, it is also used for cooling the distribution centre and refrigerated storeroom.
